Our Parish Coat of Arms was officially unveiled on International Heraldry Day, June 10, 2024. It was designed by Fr. Felipe Campos, CSC, our associate pastor and meant to symbolize the rich history and cultures that are part of our community.
The Eagle jointly symbolizes our Polish, Mexican, and American heritages. It is done in the style of the eagle found on Poland's coat of arms to recall the founders of the parish.
The Setting Sun behind the eagle symbolizes the West Side of South Bend, over which our parish towers over as a sign of hope.
Finally, over the whole shield is the Cross and Anchors, the coat of arms of the Congregation of Holy Cross which serves the Parish and School. The Cross and Anchors symbolize the motto of the Congregation, Ave Crux Spes Unica, Hail the Cross our Only Hope.
